Path is just a Foursquare for life.

My thoughts on the new geo-location life-tracking app, Path.

Good luck.

You’re trying to reinvent the wheel of geolocation for life events. The only problem, is that your user base is lacking.

Let’s take a look at the players —

• Facebook Locations
• Google Plus
• Twitter locations
• Foursquare
• Yelp
• Gowalla
• Loopt
• BrightKite
• Hashable
• Instagram

Not in any particular order or categorization, there are plenty. Too many. Path’s biggest challenge will undoubtedly be to turn over their userbase from other geolocation checkin apps, to their app.

Path’s benefit — their design.

It’s different. It’s beautiful. Tweet link landing pages are beautifully orchestrated. iPhone UI is completely different than anything I’ve seen before.

If they can pull this off, I can see something great coming their way.
